Rev 2:1 Unto the angel of the assembly of Ephesus
write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right
hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; Jesus is letting them know he knows their works, their patience and how they can't stand those who are liars. Rev 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee,
because thou hast left thy first love. Verse 5) Refers to the current time and if they did not heed to his Words the the church would be ended and v8) if they overcome they will have eternal life. One is talking about what would happen shortly/quickly and the other is talking about eternal life. Rev 2:8 And unto the angel of the assembly in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; Jesus refers to himself as the one who was crucified and is now alive. Rev 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. This refers to those who were Jews who did not believe in Yahushua and were persecuting the Christians. Rev 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. This again refers to the synagogue of Satan doing the persection as foretold in Matthew 23:34. This was a warning to the believers not to give up their faith, because there yet remains a reward of eternal life. Rev 2:11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the assemblies; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. This tells of those who are not following Yahushua will have a second death and they will cease to exist, as those who overcometh shall not be destroyed and have eternal life. Rev 2:12 And to the angel of the assembly in Pergamos
write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;
Rev 2:14 But I have a few things against thee, because
thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac
to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things
sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. This is referring to those who are giving into fornication propogated by having relations outside the church and also following hte Nicolaitans teaching that is better to sin to receive more grace. Yahuwah does not approve either of those. I will come quickly does not refer to the second coming but that judgement will come soon if they do not heed. Rev 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the assemblies; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. This is referring to eternal life with Yahuwah and your new name you will be given after one is resurrected. Rev 2:18 And unto the angel of the assembly in Thyatira
write; These things saith the Son of YHWH, who hath his eyes like unto
a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; Here Yahuwah tells that he is angry at the practice of a woman called Jezebel (was this her real name is unknown to me however there was a different Jezebel in 2 Kings 9:22). Here again the judgment is pronounced on them if they do not repent. Rev 2:24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in
Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known
the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.
From my perspective the ruling of them with a rod of iron is referring to after the millenium reign with Christ for a thousand years. After that thousand years, there will be a second resurrection, the brethren will judge them 1 Cor 6:2 and those who follow Satan will war against Jerusalem and Yahuwah will come against them Revelation 19:11.
