The Good News Of Jesus

Jesus Around 13 Teaching In The Temple

Most people have heard of Jesus Christ, just in case you haven't Jesus was God in human form that was born around 5BC-1BC, a little over 2,000 years ago by a woman who's name was Mary. Mary conceived Jesus by a virgin birth from the gift of the Holy Spirit (God's Spirit). Not much is known about baby Jesus other then there was a Star Of Bethlehem that guided wise men to visit him when he was born and bring him gifts of myrrh, frankincense and gold. The story of Jesus is told in the Bible; the world's most read book.

The good news is that Jesus started a ministry on earth when He was baptized around the age 30 years old aound 26AD-29AD. For three half years, or one year, He preached on how to live a good righteous life free of sin, He healed the sick and did miracles to show that He is God. However many people at that time didn't believe that He was God or God's Son so they had him killed by crucifixion. After He died He was buried in a tomb and three days later He rose from the dead and was resurrected to life by His own power. If you believe this then God in His grace and mercy offers you a free gift of eternal life.

After the resurrection Jesus spent forty days on earth and then was caught up into a cloud taking Him up to Heaven to be with Father God, creator of all Heaven, Earth, everything seen and unseen. Before Jesus left earth he promised a couple things; one that He would send His Holy Spirit to be a guide and comfort to all the people of the earth who believe The Good News (video) and second that He would return a second time to end sin and create a New Heaven and New Earth.

What Is True Religion

"Suppose you think your beliefs are right because of how you live. But you don't control what you say. Then you are fooling yourselves. Your beliefs are not worth anything at all. Here are the kinds of beliefs that God our Father accepts as pure and without fault. When widows and children who have no parents are in trouble, take care of them. And keep yourselves from being polluted by the world." James 1:26-27 (NIrV)
